Tours & TCU

TCU map and parking information.

Location at TCU:  Rees-Jones Hall, Room 107, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on October 14.  The Library is right next door. In the campus map showing on this page (bottom) there is a circle around a close visitor parking lot and a rectangle around the Rees-Jones Hall building. Since the event is in the evening, you may be able to park in the lot right behind Rees-Jones Hall.

FRIDAY EVENING SCHEDULE:
5:30 pm — Pizza, snacks, and beverages
6:15 pm — Social and introduction time.  Plan for one person from your school to introduce your school and talk about some interesting student media and/or other activities you’re proud of, and about tours you went on.
6:45 pm — Keynote Speaker:  Eva Coleman, media professional and educator.
7:00 pm — Graduate student film showcase.
7:10 pm — Awards Ceremony
8:30 pm — Adjournment

IMPORTANT –>  Only those who have registered for the Friday 10/14 SCBS activities may sign up for a tour. If you are only registered for the Saturday Newsroom Workshop you are NOT ELIGIBLE TO sign up for a tour.  Each person may sign up for one ‘early’ tour  and for any second tour at a different time slot if that tour is still open. Coordinate in advance about sign up with others in your school. ONLY SIGN UP FOR A TOUR THAT YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY ATTEND.   Once each tour is full, any later sign ups are not valid. Tour location and directions information posted below.  NOTE:  each sign up link will have scbs (lowercase) as the password.

EARLY AFTERNOON TOURS   —

12:30 pm start time.
KTVT CBS 11.     REGISTER FOR THIS TOUR HERELIMIT 20. 5233 Bridge St. Fort Worth, Texas 76103. You’ll check in at the desk and ask for James Martinez.

1:00 pm start timeCBS Radio StudiosREGISTER FOR THIS TOUR HERE.   LIMIT 15.  4131 North Central Expressway, Dallas.  There is a visitor parking lot on the first floor of the parking garage.  Just go past the guard gate and then turn left.  That is visitor parking. Their reception area is on the first floor.  Just ask for Paul Mann or Iris Bekker.

MID AFTERNOON TOURS

3:00 pm start time, Daystar Studios, REGISTER FOR THIS TOUR HERE.   LIMIT 20. 3901 HWY 121, Bedford TX 76021.  You may park at the top of the hill and enter the building at the Daystar Bookstore. Check in at the bookstore they will contact Brenda Zapalik that you are here.  You’ll have to be buzzed into the front door.

3:00 pm start timeDeaf Mule Productions,    REGISTER FOR THIS TOUR HERE. LIMIT 15.   2828 Routh St. Ste. 130 Dallas TX 75201.  Ask for Gio Locatelli upon arrival.

3:00 pm start time: AT&T / Cowboys Stadium Media Facilities, REGISTER FOR THIS TOUR HERE.  LIMIT 20.  Park at Lot 1/2 located off Randol Mill Road in Arlington, then enter through the large glass doors in between the Ticket Office and Pro Shop.  Joe Trahan will meet you at the reception desk.
